Taking It Too Far & Another Haul

Alot of you know that I have been asked to host two seminars at The Calgary Woman's Show in April. This is an amazing opportunity, and I am super excited about it. Nervous but excited. It has also made me really think about why I use coupons, and why others use coupons. I, like many others, really enjoy the TLC show, Extreme Couponing. Don't get me wrong, it is amazing what they can do in the states. It is really amazing when they feature the ones that donate it all to charity---that is fantastic. That's what some of this should be about. We do not need 1000 rolls of paper towels, or hundreds of tubes of toothpaste--the stuff expires. But, maintaining a manageable stockpile that can support your family is great. In our case, we have a rather large stockpile. I have used/saved almost $10,000 this year with coupons, and I have donated at least half of that to various charities, neighbours, family and friends. Yes, I do keep large quantities of items that we use alot of--paper towels, toilet paper, juice boxes, canned goods, dry pasta, rice, etc.

What I am trying to get across to everyone that is "extreme couponing". Use coupons whenever possible, save money whenever possible, and try to create a manageable stockpile. Enough that would last your family 1 year is reasonable. Product does expire unfortunately, toothpaste goes rancid, pasta sauce can turn on ya too... And donate your excess!!

On a happier note.... did 2 recent shopping trips. Details are below.
